Child and adolescent psychology has increasingly more scientific knowledge about effective strategies for the assessment, diagnosis, and intervention of psychological problems in children and adolescents. However, the clinical experience and skills of the therapist are equally necessary to manage cases that, on many occasions, often do not have a perfect fit with a specific diagnosis or present a multitude of problems simultaneously. Therefore, improvement in clinical practice involves knowing and mastering the strategies that work, but also developing skills to understand the problems of the patients and adapt these strategies to their needs.
That is why the objective of this symposium is to present 4 clinical cases to illustrate the process of assessment, diagnosis, and intervention carried out in different psychological problems by 4 therapists with extensive experience in child and adolescent clinical practice. The symposium seeks to create a learning space through the presentation of real clinical cases to help the attending child and adolescent psychologists to make decisions and improve their clinical practice.<\/p>\n

Jonatan Molina has a degree in Psychology and a 5 Star University Award from the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University (Elche). Subsequently, he studied the Master in Psychological Therapy with children and adolescents at the same university. He is currently developing his doctoral thesis project \u00abThe measurement of ADHD in preschoolers and its impact on the child’s life\u00bb at the University Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez. He is the coordinator of the Working Group of Supervision of Clinical Cases in Children and Adolescents of the Official College of Psychology of the Valencian Community, and a member of the scientific society \u00abRed Infancia\u00bb. He develops his clinical practice as head of the area of child and adolescent psychology at Centro M\u00e9dico Sant\u00edas (Aspe, Alicante). In addition, he does outreach in psychology in different media in the section \u00abFor Mothers & Fathers\u00bb.<\/p>\n
