Elche is the only Spanish city that has three properties registered in the different categories of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The first one, \u201cEl Palmeral\u201d, is a unique natural landscape that has survived for more than a thousand years, the largest in Europe with more than 200,000 specimens. \u201cEl Misteri\u201d, declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, is a sung drama of medieval origin that is performed every August in honor of the patron saint of the city. The School Museum of Pusol preserves the memory of farm trades and allows us to immerse ourselves in the past. But, in addition, Elche is the city where the \u201cDama de Elche\u201d was found, a masterpiece of Iberian culture, a sculpture of great beauty and an icon of the city.<\/p>\n
It was in Elche where, in 2011, we held for the first time the symposium on child clinical psychology that gave rise to the congress that we know today. What was initially a national meeting has grown into an international congress that brings us together every year, and that warmly and enthusiastically welcomes attendants from many countries. Researchers, professionals, and students come together with a common interest: to learn, exchange experiences, update knowledge, share and nourish ourselves with child psychology. Madrid, Barcelona, \u200b\u200bSeville, Palma de Mallorca, and Oviedo have witnessed these meetings.<\/p>\n
This year is the time to return home, to Elche. We come back, maintaining the same illusion that we have experienced in previous congresses. We return to this unique city that welcomes us with open arms and that aims to be the scene of long-awaited reunions, emotional hugs, and moments to remember.<\/p>\n
