Cuando los ni\u00f1os no reciben una explicaci\u00f3n sincera sobre lo que est\u00e1 ocurriendo, sacan sus propias conclusiones y luego tienen que hacer frente al impacto emocional sin el apoyo de un adulto.<\/p>\n<p>Es comprensible que las familias quieran proteger a los ni\u00f1os de la ansiedad o el malestar, lo que a menudo genera incertidumbre sobre si explicar o no a los ni\u00f1os lo que est\u00e1 sucediendo y c\u00f3mo hacerlo. Las familias normalmente buscan orientaci\u00f3n en el equipo de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica del paciente, aunque la investigaci\u00f3n indica que la conexi\u00f3n del paciente con los ni\u00f1os a menudo es \u00abinvisible\u00bb y los profesionales pueden sentirse inseguros al ofrecer apoyo.
