Jona<\/span>tan Molina holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche (UMH) and a Master\u2019s Degree in Psychological Therapy with Children and Adolescents. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Personality, Psychological Assessment, and Treatment at UMH and also teaches at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the European University of Valencia (UEV).\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As a researcher, he is a member of the AITANA Research Center, focusing his work on ADHD in preschoolers and externalizing behavior problems. His research has led to publications in high-impact journals and contributions to manuals on child and adolescent psychological assessment and treatment. He has participated in international conferences and frequently serves as a speaker at child and adolescent psychology events.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the clinical field, since 2016, he has been the Head of the Child and Adolescent Psychology Unit at Sant\u00edas Medical Center (Alicante), where he conducts assessment, diagnosis, and intervention with children and adolescents. Additionally, he has engaged in science communication activities in the media and has coordinated the television program \u00abPara Madres & Padres\u00bb.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He is the Coordinator of the Clinical Case Supervision Group for Children and Adolescents at the Official College of Psychology of the Valencian Community (COPCV), a founding member and clinical coordinator of the Spanish Society of Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology (SEPCIJ), and a member of the expert committee of the Spanish Observatory of Child and Adolescent Mental Health (OBSERVAINFANCIA).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mental health in children and adolescents has gained increasing importance in today\u2019s society, as evidenced by the growing demand for psychological care and the emergence of more complex cases. Although numerous evidence-based tools are available for assessment, diagnosis, and intervention, selecting the most appropriate ones for each individual case remains a challenging task for professionals.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To achieve effective clinical practice, it is not only crucial to apply scientifically supported procedures but also to develop competencies that allow for an accurate interpretation of each patient\u2019s specific difficulties\u2014difficulties that increasingly do not fit within traditional diagnostic systems. Additionally, interventions must be adapted to the clinical formulation of each case.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This symposium will bring together four experienced therapists in the field of child and adolescent psychology, who will present real clinical cases illustrating different approaches to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. The main objective is to provide a practical perspective on the use of evidence-based strategies for addressing complex psychological problems in this population. Through the discussion of these cases, the symposium aims to foster a dynamic learning environment at the AITANA Congress, helping attending psychologists improve their clinical decision-making and achieve better outcomes in their practice.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
