Welcome to the II International Congress of Clinical and Health Psychology on Children and Adolescents. During these three days we will be able to enjoy great professionals, experts in children's psychology. We hope you enjoy this experience as much as possible one more year. The appointment in Barcelona for the II International Conference of Clinical and Health Psychology on Children and Adolescents is now approaching. The congress will have approximately 700 participants from 50 countries. It will undoubtedly be a great opportunity to share experiences and meet the greatest international experts.

Before the conference: If you have not already done so, take advantage of these days to select the sessions and activities you want to attend. Check out the online abstracts book to see what jobs are presented and identify the speakers and experts you would like to meet. Select the sessions in which they participate, and think about how to introduce yourself to converse with them. These days are a good time to contact the researchers in your field of study who participate in the congress to express their interest in meeting you and having a coffee during some break. A first contact by email always facilitates the approach in person. Do not miss the opportunity to expand your network of contacts!

During the conference: As a novelty this year, poster-format communications are presented on digital touch screens, you will find them in the hall of floor 1. You can vote for the Best Poster, with the number that will appear on your accreditation and the most voted, you will receive a prize of a free registration for the 2017 edition. Take advantage of the conference to meet other assistants and speakers: We all like others to be interested in our research and / or professional work. The organization has planned a rest area where you can also charge your mobile devices. The breaks and social dinner of the congress are good times to introduce themselves to the speakers and other congressmen and to leave their contact card to them. ICCPCA Audience Award 2016

As a novelty of the II International Congress of Clinical Psychology on Children and Adolescents (ICCPCA), and thanks to the vote of the attendees via digital screens, the most voted poster will receive a prize consisting of free registration for the III ICCHPCA, which will be held in Seville from 16 to 18 November, 2017.The award will be delivered in the closing ceremony that will take place at the Auditorium on Saturday 19th at 1:30 pm. Introducing the special Issue of RPCNA on Advances on Child Psychological Assessment

The special issue of the Journal of Clinical Psychology with Children and Adolescents on "Advances in Child Assessment", edited by TEA, will be introduced during the upcoming conference. The guest editors of this special issue, Victoria del Barrio and José Antonio Piqueras will be introducing the publication. On the November 18th at 11am will be the presentation of the room Win at AXA Auditorium, as part of the parallel activities of the congress. Next July 16, last day to benefit from the reduced fee

You can benefit from reduced fees to participate in the congress until July 16. You can also check the special fees for students, professional unemployed, members of collaborating organisations, and professional NGOs. Paper submission is closed, more than 500 proposals received

Paper submission time has been closed definitely. The members of the scientific committee are evaluating during these days more than 500 proposals submitted. On June 30 authors will be notified on the valuation of their propposals. The interest in participating in CIPCNA 2016 has been very high and are eager to learn more about many works from a high number of countries.

Abstracts submission deadline has been extended until 6/23

Abstract submission deadline for the II International Congress of Clinical and Health Psychology on Children and Adolescents has been extended until June 23. Papers about aspects related to psychopathology, psychological assessment and treatment of children and young people will be accepted. They may be submitted in both official languages of the conference (English and Spanish). Abstracts will be included in the conference book, published by Ediciones Pirámide, an editorial classified in the first quartile in Scholarly Publishers Indicators.

CIPCNA2016 was officially introduced in Barcelona

Last June 10 took place at the headquarters of the Association of Catalan Psychologists the official presentation of CIPCNA2016. The event intervened the president of the organizing committee and director of AITANA Research Group, José P. Espada, who highlighted the commitment to internationalization in the upcoming edition. The chairman of the scientific committee, Dr. Rosa M. Raich highlighted the main contents of the plenary lectures, for which this year will feature speakers from the United States, Australia, Finland, Sweden, Germany and Holland. Dr. Claustre Jané, Vice Dean of COPC showed their support and by the Col-legi Oficial of Psychology of Catalonia, partner of the event, considering an opportunity for high-level training of professionals.

The deadline for abstract submission is approaching

The abstracts submission will be open until June 16. Submissions focusing on children and young people focused on psychopathology, assessment and treatment in the clinical area and health will be considered. They may be submitted in both official languages of the conference (English and Spanish). Have convened in this edition the awards, each worth 300 euros: Ediciones Piramide young researcher Prize, aimed to PhD students and postdoctoral researchers under 30 years. Award for best applied research, aimed to professionals in the field of child and adolescent psychology. International award for best presentation, for researchers from academic or research institutions in countries other than Spain.

AITANA Award 2016 goes to Susan Spence

Doctor Susan Spence, professor emeritus of Griffith University in Australia, has been awarded the 2016 Aitana Award. Aitana Award is awarded to recognize a lifetime career of meritorious achievement and outstanding to the development of child and adolescent clinical psychology. Over the past 35 years, Dr. Spence has been dedicated to the prevention and treatment of anxiety disorders and depression in children and adolescents. Among her most important contributions highlights the Spence Children's Anxiety Scale (SCAS), which has been translated into 28 languages. She is pioneer in the implementation of Internet-based cognitive-behavioral therapy (iCBT) for the treatment of anxiety and depression of child and adolescent (Brave Program). In 2009, she was awarded the Ian Campbell Memorial Prizein Clinical Psychology. She has recently been made an Officer of the Order of Australia in the 2016 Australia Day Honours List in recognition of her contribution to child clinical psychology.

The 2016 Aitana Award will be delivered in Barcelona on November 19 during the closing ceremony of the congress, in which she will hold the lecture "Preventing Depression in Youth - Challenges and Future Directions”.
