Dr. Phillip C. Kendall is a Distinguished University Professor of Psychology at Temple University (USA), where he chairs the Anxiety Disorders Clinic for Children and Adolescents. He combines active research, academic activity and clinical care. His curriculum includes more than 450 publications, including more than 30 books and more than 20 treatment manuals and workbooks. His treatment programs have been translated into dozens of languages, and he has been awarded more than 25 years of uninterrupted financial support for his studies. Professor Kendall is a world-renowned expert in the treatment of anxiety in childhood and adolescence and in cognitive-behavioral therapy. He has studied the efficacy of anxiety treatments in children and specific populations (eg. children with autism), the relationship between parental anxiety and child anxiety, how anxiety affects children development during childhood and its comorbidity with other problems (eg. self-esteem, depression), the predictors of success in the treatment of childhood anxiety, the efficacy of online interventions, among others.
