Dr. Oltean (Cardoș) started her career with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Babeș-Bolyai University, where her thesis focused on computer-mediated interventions for anxiety. Her research interests grew during her doctoral studies, leading to a deeper exploration of cognitive-behavioral therapies and technological interventions in youth and adult mental health. After completing her doctorate, Dr. Oltean worked as a clinical psychologist and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist at the Babeș-Bolyai University Psychology Clinic. Her clinical practice focused on providing evidence-based interventions to individuals struggling with a variety of psychological challenges, particularly emotional disorders.
Dr. Oltean successfully implemented four research grants, where she led pioneering projects focused on personalized emotional disorder prevention tools and the development of assessment tools for children and adolescents. These projects blended her clinical expertise with innovative technological solutions. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at Babeș-Bolyai University. Her research interests are centered on the development of technology-based interventions to improve mental health outcomes, with a focus on preventive strategies for children and adolescents. Dr. Cardoș is a member of several professional organizations, including the College of Psychologists of Romania and the Romanian Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapies. She has published extensively in international, peer-reviewed journals and continues to contribute to the advancement of both academic research and practical mental health interventions.
